Vision

Reiki is more that a physical healing modality.  It is a way of life, based on the precepts put forth by its founder Mikao Usui in the early 20th century:

"Just for today, do not anger, do not fear, be grateful, be true to your way and your being, have compassion for yourself and all living beings."

Education and Training

  • CranioSacral work with Upledger Institute, 2025 and 2026 

  • John Harvey Gray Center for Reiki Healing - 6th-generation Reiki Master. 2013

  • M.Ed Master of Education in Counseling / Psychology, Cambridge College, Cambridge, MA. 1990

  • BA  Religious Studies, William Smith College, Geneva, NY, 1980

  • Study of Buddhism in Sri Lanka for three months as part of a study abroad program during college

Influences

Brazilian Shaman from São Paulo, Brazil

 

Living on the Yankton Reservation in Marty, SD, learning Lakota ceremonial prayer songs, attending sweat lodges, Sundance, and Thank You ceremonies.

 

Worked with women and children in three different states in shelters for battered women
